Invasive Weeds of Concern
More than 30 species of invasive plants have been identified in the Juneau area. Below is a list of invasive weeds of concern: while many are already found in Juneau, some plants are on our "watch list" of invasives likely to thrive in Juneau, should they be accidentally introduced. We'll work to map and manage the known infestations, and be on the look out for those invasives likely to arrive, with the help of our partners and volunteers.
An asterisk (*) indicates an Early Detection and Rapid Response species in Juneau. Please report any new sightings of these notorious invasives immediately.
