
Land managers in Juneau have formed the Juneau Cooperative Weed Management Area to highlight the need for prevention and control of invasive plants in the city and borough. Members of the JNU-CWMA include the Juneau Watershed Partnership, City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska Cooperative Extension Service, USDA Forest Service, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Central Counsel Tlingit Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities and the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
